Exercise Physiologist & Senior Fitness Coordinator
Chris brings to the Foundation nearly 20 years experience in the fitness industry. After leaving the armed forces, where he served as a Medic, in 1975, Chris undertook a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Brighton, United Kingdom, a recognized center of excellence in exercise physiology. His esteemed career includes 13 years as the Assistant Director of Fitness at Ranch La Puerta, Mexico, consistently voted as the World’s best destination spa.
During his time there he was responsible for designing and implementing the Ranch’s internationally renowned exercise program, with a team of 22 fitness professionals reporting directly to him.
After leaving Rancho La Puerta in pursuit of fresh challenges, Chris wanted to implement personalized fitness training, in keeping with the vision of 21st Century health being individualized. He hence became the Director of Personal Training at both an LA Fitness™ and YMCA center. In this setting, Chris could use his management skills as well as working with clients one-on-one. After this Chris became the Fitness Director for the entire Frogs Fitness™ Franchise in California. Chris joined the Foundation team in December 2011. In keeping with his eclectic nature, Chris holds a Diploma from The Royal Military School of Music, United Kingdom, where he was the lead saxophonist, a passion that continues to the present day.
